Gsim: a Discrete Simulator for Manufacturing Based on Activities and Systems Interaction

چکیده

In this paper we present a new methodology for modelling manufacturing discrete systems. The main contribution is to cleary differenciate the system and the activity that it performs. Such difference allows to create relationships between them, wich are essential for the model formulation. Through the proposed methodology we aim to developed an easy to use simulation tool for modelling the most usual manufacturing systems. GSIM is a Windows based system with an intuitive graphical interface. Moreover, all operations are carried out without any programming. Users introduce the required information form modelling using the menus and dialog boxes. We consider that the simulator proposed combines the advantages of a general purpose simulation language and a data-driven simulator.
